Eugenie Polman has 20 years of experience in Marketing-, Communications- & Public Relations management and she never grows tired of this beautiful profession! Rebranding a company, improving the reputation, managing the social media channels, being a spokesperson, gaining free publicity, providing an internal communications strategy and last but not least; coaching and inspiring a team and together create an integrated communication strategy: she likes to do it all.
Eugenie has an academical background in Communications and Journalism. She was responsible for the marketing communication in a bank, worked as a Communications Manager for an insurance company and was a Director of Communications in the telecom sector. She managed small teams and larger ones. Eugenie Polman choose to work in different industries and sectors, to maximize her knowledge and skills.
Eugenie lived four years in Mexico City, where she volunteered in an orphanage (Hogar dulce Hogar) and wrote two published books about her (family) life in one of the biggest cities in the world.
Back in the Netherlands, Eugenie made a move to the not-for-profit sector. In 2011, she started working as Manager Communication at the Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing, a knowledge institute where research was conducted and programmes were implemented to add value for older people and for society.
After working for the older people, she now has chosen to work for the most vulnerable group, the children. In 2015, Eugenie joined ICDI in the position of Communication Manager and is responsible for spreading the message of ICDI and its partners around the globe.
