2015 has been the year of Girl Power! In the past five years ICDI, together with partner organisations in Nicaraguea, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan, implemented the Girl Power Programme. The focus was to improve girls’ participation in society, economic and educational opportunities and protection against gender based violence. In December 2015 Girl Power came to a conclusion, and we are proud to say that it has been highly successful:the Girl Power Programme was effective in improving the living conditions of hundreds of thousands of girls in the countries we worked in.
