The International Debate Education Association (IDEA) is a global network of organizations that value debate as a way to give young people a voice.
IDEA NL is evaluating the impact of debating for secondary school students in eight European countries. IDEA NL collects data through standardized questionnaires, but also wants to organize focus group discussions with young people who take part in IDEA’s debating programme.
Because of ICDI’s experience in youth participation, we were asked to facilitate a training for the evaluators in the eight countries on interview techniques and organizing interactive focus groups.
This resulted in a fruitful and fun day!
