ICDI provides training to staff at refugee centre Burgum

Last Friday Natasja Knap, Imani Mchimbwa and Geja van Dam received their certificates: they have now been trained to run the new NEST at the refugee centre in Burgum. Nest is an after school facility, a safe place, where between 30 to 60 children can come after school and in weekends to enjoy a range of activities aimed at strengthening their resilience and psychosocial well-being. Within NEST, children can do creative workshops, homework, or just “chill”. It is a much needed “home away from home” for these children, who grow up in stressful circumstances.
