ICDI delivered a 3 day online training about child sexual abuse for longstanding partner SOS Children’s Villages Belarus. Over 50 child psychologists, teachers and other professionals working in institutional and educational facilities in Belarus were trained in how to prevent child sexual abuse, recognize the early signs and how to adequately respond when child sexual abuse is suspected or reported.
Participants increased their knowledge and practical skills on how to distinguish healthy from inappropriate sexual behaviour, how to sensitively respond to disclosures, how to create a safe setting and discuss physical boundaries with children.
