We are happy to announce the start of a new, exciting project: “Here to Stay –Claiming Youth Led Space”.
Here To Stay is a strategic partnership targeting shrinking civic space in Europe and the implications this has for young people. The project aims to counter this trend in Europe by creating an enabling and productive environment for youth work, to involve young people in decision-making processes.
This project will have special focus on sport, dance, music, and arts, and the role these can play in creating civic space for young people.
The kick-off meeting was held in s’Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands 20 & 21 February. ICDIs Rutger van Oudenhoven met up with partners from Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic, to discuss roles and activities.
The first output of the project will be a digitally available open source research report on what are success factors in claiming youth-led civic spaces by European youth work organizations. ICDI is responsible for producing this report.
