On 4th September, the African Early Childhood Network and the Global Initiative to Support Parents launched the Compendium of African Initiatives to Support Parents & Caregivers of Adolescents and Young Children. ICDI was privileged to work on this important publication. The Compendium follows the landmark Africa Regional Convening in June 2022, where over 1,500 stakeholders came together to advance parenting support in Africa.
The Compendium captures some diverse parenting programmes shared at the Convening and continues joint efforts to enhance family-friendly policies and initiatives across the continent. Part One of the Compendium reviews the key themes and lessons learnt from the programmes. Part Two provides a quick overview of each programme. Readers can also view the essential information about a programme in the ‘At a Glance Table’.
