This week, ICDI facilitated a half-day training on Meaningful Youth Participation for the staff of Kinderpostzegels.
The main topics addressed in the training were:
- Introduction to Meaningful Youth Participation (MYP)
- Child Participation Frameworks
- How to incorporate children participation in the project cycle
- Best practices of MYP around the world
During the course of the training participants engaged in purposeful and meaningful conversations and expressed their commitment to continue working towards promoting child and youth participation in their projects and programmes.
What comes next?
Next week, ICDI will facilitate a follow-up 1-day training about youth-led research where we’ll talk about why this is a form of meaningful youth participation, benefits for children and society, and its approaches and models.
