Training sessions for social workers on different aspects of foster care

On Wednesday 20 December we were visited by Tatiana Burova, the director of SOS Children’s Villages Belarus. In the past years SOS and ICDI organized training sessions for social workers on different aspects of foster care, such as ‘how to work with autistic children’, ‘how to recruit and select foster parents’, ‘how to deal with professional burnout’, to name a few. ICDI was also responsible for organizing a study visit to The Netherlands for child protection professionals from the Mogilev region. It was nice to meet Tatiana again. She and her team are doing great work for the protection of vulnerable children in Belarus. We hope we can work together again in the near future.

ICDI has almost 25 years of international experience in the areas of programme development, policy advice, training, and research related  to psychosocial child and youth development.
