Junior Programme Manager
Hannah is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Social Challenges, Policies and Interventions at Utrecht University and studied Management of International Social Challenges in Rotterdam. Her background lies in International Relations and Public Administration. Hannah’s minor in Global Poverty at the ISS in the Hague sparked her interest in children’s wellbeing and development. During her studies she has focused on various pressing global issues, like migration, access to healthcare and gender inequality. These interests correspond with her passion to drive meaningful change and thus she wishes to contribute to furthering children’s wellbeing and development.

As a child
Hannah has many happy memories from her childhood, from spending time outside when possible, reading books and watching The Simpsons with her father. She also loved to swim and spent the better part of her childhood doing synchronised swimming. She particularly adored animals, having always grown up with cats, and she volunteered at an animal shelter. When she was young her mother always told her she had a strong sense of justice and so she decided she wanted to be a lawyer. Studying law was not meant to be, but Hannah’s sense of justice still motivates her to work towards a better world.

Hannah and play
Hannah grew up in the city centre, meaning there were little opportunities to play outside. Because of this she relished in the moments she got to go out of the centre and to forests or lakes with her parents, spending hours swimming or running around. She loved to play pretend with her friends, acting like princesses in peril or bickering over who could be which member of the Winx Club.
