Programme Manager
Nikos holds a master’s degree in international development and has over 9 years of experience in this field. He designs and manages child development programmes, leads monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes for initiatives promoting socioeconomic development among marginalised youth in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Additionally, he advises on designing quality assurance frameworks for global child protection systems. Nikos is particularly interested in managing the impact of development interventions, contributing to systemic change, and facilitating partnerships with donors, civil society organisations, and knowledge institutions to achieve common development objectives.
Working at ICDI gives Nikos the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to community well-being and prosperity by supporting the psychosocial well-being of children and the socioeconomic development of youth. Originally from Greece, Nikos moved to the Netherlands in 2013 to pursue his master’s studies and currently lives there with his partner and son.

As a child
Nikos used to listen to a lot of music (sometimes, not the kind his parents approved of!), read books, hang out with friends, and play basketball. He also had a strong affection for nature and was always eager to go on explorations with his friends or family in nearby mountains, small forests, and beaches. He is very grateful for, and proud of, growing up in rural areas, close to nature.
Nikos and play
Nikos enjoyed playing and being adventurous in mountains, rivers and the sea. When at home, he loved playing with building blocks or board games and later in his youth, with computer games. However, playing outdoors in nature with his friends was always the most fun for him.
